Benevolent Neglect Ribolla Gialla 2017

$85.00 inc. GST

Tasting Note: Light, bright and fresh lemon sherbet draw the nose in followed with almond and acacia. On the palate the wine is mineral, slight notes of sour pear drop. The finish is long and refreshingly sour. This is a perfect oyster wine, match it with foods equally as bright, like a fresh arugula salad with a racy vinaigrette.

Winemaking: This is a classic north-east Italian white grape variety usually made in the same way as red wine by being left in contact with the skins. After the grapes are crushed the wines is left on skins for a full 15 days,  then transferred to neutral oak barrels for 15 months to settle and mature. Interestingly the vines were brought to Napa by Josko Gravner in 2001, the Gravner wine from Italy are considered some of the best versions of this variety in the world, making Josko a real winemaking legend.
