Astralabe was the love-child of medieval French scholars Abelard and Heloise, who grew up in the abbey with his mother, after she had become a nun, and never met his father. As the male “child” of the family, Astralabe shares his father’s blend of Grenache-predominance.
95/100 – Bob Campbell MW
“A blend of grenache and syrah. Seductively-scented wine with plum, raspberry, violet, cedar and spicy oak. An elegant wine with a backbone of juicy acidity and peppery tannins. Already showing the benefit of a little bottle-age but with the potential to develop further. Drink 2021 to 2028.” – Bob Campbell MW
