“There’s more to the 2017 IGP Vaucluse Le Rose than attractive forward fruit, so it should drink well through the end of next year. Subtle strawberry, peach and melon notes are delivered on a medium-bodied, silky-textured palate and a long finish. A fifth of this blend of Grenache (65%), Syrah (13%), Rolle (12%), Cinsault (5%) and Mourvèdre (5%) was fermented and aged in used demi-muids, no doubt adding to the textural element on the palate.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, November 2018
“From vines grown at 550m. With its pale salmon pink colour, this has attractive aromatics between fruit and flowers, with an extra savoury dimension. The rich mouthfeel is cut through with glistening Ventoux acidity, leading on to a lengthy finish.” – Decanter, November 2018
“Lightly, stonily red fruited. Lovely fragrance. With definite oak here. Certainly smells refined and sophisticated. Intense without being too fruity. It does seem to be carefully oaked, from the depth of texture as much as from the flavour. Dry, profound and long.” – Jancis Robinson
Tasting Note: 67% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 5% Cinsault, 5% Mourvèdre, 5% Rolle. Crystal-clear, pale rose pink. Strawberries and citrus on the nose, with hints of jasmine. Expressive with a full array of summer fruits. Fresh, full-bodied and fruity on the mid-palate, then finishing crisp, elegant and long, with a persistent silky texture. Very moreish. Only 2.7g/L of residual sugar.
