Cullen Dancing in the Moonlight Rosé 2018

92/100 – Mike Bennie, Wine Front

“It’s a rose produced from cabernet, with petit verdot mostly, but with all the red varieties off the vineyard in the mix. Cullen’s shape-shift in recent years is a fascinating thing. You can feel Vanya Cullen’s rush of energy reverberating in this fast evolution. Pale salmon colour. Rose water, rose hip flowers, light red berry notes, a touch of talc. Good scents. Light sweetness in the palate, chalkiness in texture, limey acidity under more rose hip tea and pomegranate juice. And it is juicy, but finishes dry. It’s a lovely expression.” – Mike Bennie, Wine Front

Tasting Note: 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Malbec, 21% Petit Verdot and 9% Merlot from the Cullen and Mangan vineyards. Lifted notes of raspberry, strawberry and currants. Lush palate dominated by red fruits. Lovely notes red plum, wild strawberry and cranberry. Brilliant dry rosé for summer. Enjoy now
