Francois de Nicolay Bourgogne Rouge 2020

Tasting Note: This “simple” Bourgogne wine comes from 2 parcels that we handpicked ourselves right next to Savigny-Les-Beaune appellation in our village of Savigny. This wine shows fine and pure Pinot Noir, airy and subtle, offering a lot of fresh fruit. It can be paired with a lot of various dishes, such as “jambon persillé” (marbled parsley and ham) plain red meat and duck breast. Made from 50 year-old Pinot Noir vines on clay and limestone soil, whole bunch fermented and matured 12 months in oak barrels, then bottled on the property.
