Tasting Note: Like the entire Noto Valley, Ispica also belongs to the territory of Nero d’Avola, the city after which the grape was named. This expression of Nero d’Avola comes from chalky soils in the Contrada Graffetta. Thick and intense colour; aromas of ripe red fruit combined with leather notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with a juicy and soft finish.
Winemaking Notes: Macerated under controlled temperature of 28ºC for 10-12 days. Malolactic Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, and the wine was aged 50% in oak tonneaux for 6 months, 50% in steel tanks, and the final blend rested for 3 months in bottle.
