“Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2011 Pinot Noir displays pronounced ripe cherry, black raspberry and blueberry coulis fruit notes with a mint and dried herb undercurrent plus a suggestion of lavender. Medium-bodied and packed with slowly evolving Pinot flavors, it has a great line of fine-grained tannins and just enough freshness to lift the long finish.” – Robert Parker on the 2011 Pinot Noir, rated 91 points!
Collections like these don’t happen often. Herzog Winery have released a small number of GLV-exclusive 6-pack verticals, highlighting the phenomenal run of vintages from 2010 through 2015 – somewhat unprecedented in the sense that every one of these vintages has been generous and promises to be long-lived. Included in the collection are two of the coveted ‘Grand Duc’ Pinot Noirs, exclusively cultivated from the most favourable row of Pinot Noir planted on the property. The only catch is that four of these wines are not for individual sale – so this case is a collector’s dream, and there are very few available.
