5 stars – Michael Cooper
“Currently delicious, the 2014 vintage was estate-grown in the Wairau Valley, matured for 18 months in French oak barriques, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deep and youthful in colour, it’s a very graceful red, mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with vibrant, ripe plum and blackcurrant flavours, fine-grained tannins, and excellent depth and harmony. Best drinking 2020+.” – Michael Cooper
Tasting Note: A deep, rich ruby colour with wonderful aromas and flavours of blackberries, dark cherries, dark chocolate, cedar and spices with earthy undertones. A juicy, mouth-filling, elegant wine with great acidity structure balanced by masculine tannins. A perfect wine to enjoy with your evening cigar!
