93/100 – Bob Campbell MW
17.5+/20 – Raymond Chan

“Intriguing pinot noir that is fairly light in flavour but has an appealing purity and glycerol-like mouth-feel. Flavours suggest glace cherry, red rose petal and a suggestion of star anise. A gentle wine that is both distinctive and charming.” – Bob Campbell MW

“This is an elegant and delicate, subtly expressed Pinot Noir with strawberry, cherry herb and savoury earth flavours on a fine-textured palate with plenty of structure. This is in a style akin to the wines of Volnay.” – Raymond Chan

Tasting Note: “Light garnet-red colour with a little depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is delicate with ethereal aromas of strawberries and red cherry and berry fruit melded with subtle notes of herbs and suggestions of whole bunch stalk nuances. The nose opens up and intensifies with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate has sweet flavours of strawberries and red cherry fruit along with a restrained layering of herbs and stalks with savoury earth and floral lift. The fruit is shy in expression, but positive. Fine-grained, flowery tannins underline the fruit, and grow to provide mouthfeel, texture and structure. The acidity is balanced and integrated with the extraction, and the win carries with finesse and delicacy to the finish.”
