Tasting Note: By all accounts an incredible vintage in New Zealand, its only equivalent growing seasons are the 1987 and 2013. The favourable vintage certainly paid off for Providence, resulting in an incredibly concentrated wine that retains ripe red and dark fruit character even to this day. This, coupled with a plethora of exotic spices and a robust tannin structure that stands up today, results in a truly delicious and accessible Providence that is one of the most immediately accessible releases ever. Still with huge potential, it’s hard to resist now however.
