Providence Four Apostles 2013

$235.00 inc. GST

The 2013 summer months were the driest in the Matakana area in 47 years, with abundant sunshine resulting in harvest temperature 2-3 degrees higher than normal. The resulting wine has intense body and depth of fruit, with complex minerality and length on the palate. The 2013 is considered an excellent vintage for Providence.

Accolades:
93/100 – James Suckling

“Lifted aromas of nuts, plums, earth and spice. It’s full-bodied. Medium, round tannins and a juicy finish. Very savory. Cabernet franc, syrah, merlot, and malbec. Drink now.” – James Suckling

Tasting Notes: A strong wine with superior tannin and fruit structure. The palate is a balance of soft, dusty tannins, perfectly ripe berry-fruit sweetness and elegant fine oak in the background. Ripe berry fruits and beautiful lifted aromatics, underpinned by firm acidity and seductive tannins. Extended maceration and aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak. 25% each Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot and Malbec.
