4 stars – Michael Cooper
90/100 – Bob Campbell MW
“A blend of merlot, malbec and cabernet sauvignon. Light, fresh and fairly pale rosé in a dry style, with delicate berry and herb flavours. Good food wine. Appealing freshness and purity.” – Bob Campbell MW
“Freshly scented, the 2016 vintage was made predominantly from Merlot (90 per cent), with splashes of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium-bodied, it has strong strawberry and spice flavours, hints of peaches and apricots, balanced acidity and a dry (4 grams/litre of residual sugar), smooth finish.” – Michael Cooper
Tasting Note: 91% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. Made in smallest quantities as a saignée style rosé from Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this wine has weight, body and texture. Flavours of raspberry, Morello-cherry and hints of red roses linger through a soft, genuine mouthfeel, while a touch of dry tannin at the end makes this a new, exciting dry rosé experience!
