Hutchison Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc 2015:

Accolades:
95/100 – Bob Campbell MW
94/100 – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
5 stars – Raymond Chan

Tasting Note: Immediately complex aromatics: yellow plum, ripe quince, borage honey, polenta/milled corn, and an enlivening iodine/seashore note. With air, richer and broader, while remaining multifaceted. Also a clean, wet copper coin character. Engaging and seductive. On the palate, opulent and gregarious, lush but detailed, flattering, but in a considered way. Yellow plum and honey again, acacia this time. Also a buttery, puff pastry/croissant character. Luxurious, indulgent, but sage, this is the gnostic siren in our range of wines.

Alcohol Volume: 14.5%

Kerner Pinot Blanc 2015:

Accolades:
5 stars – Raymond Chan
94/100 – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
91/100 – Bob Campbell MW

Tasting Note: Limpid, dense, brilliant, very pale gold. Enormously perfumed: pear, brioche, fennel pollen, lemon curd; hints of cassia and clove; also semolina, and melon rind. This gives a sense of fully ripe, but never overripe, fruit; heady but fresh, broad but detailed. In the mouth, combines power with charm; retro-olfactively floral, as one seems to taste a rose, when inhaling its scent; pear again, and a pretty squash flower/melon nuance. Almost excoriating finish, but never topples, or forfeits poise. Coy but somehow adamant, flirtatious in an implacable sort of way.

Alcohol: 15.0%

Rose Riesling 2015:

Accolades:
18.0+/20 – Raymond Chan
95/100 – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Tasting Note: Straw gold a little hazy but candescent and alive. Fresh alfalfa hay but also game hare especially. This smells like a hot spring day on our farm and, this doesn’t come from home but still, it completely evokes a place. This tastes like yellow flowers cammomile, crystanthumm, rocket blossom and this is synaesthesia. But this tastes like daffodils look.

Alcohol Volume: 14.8%
