Accolades:
93/100 – Bob Campbell MW
4.5 stars – Michael Cooper

“Intense, inky malbec with blackberry, red-fleshed plum, fresh herb and spicy oak flavours. A bold statement with good varietal definition. A richly-textured red supported by fine, drying tannins.” – Bob Campbell MW

“Delicious now, but still youthful, the 2014 vintage was matured for 16 months in new American and seasoned French oak barrels. Full-coloured, it is mouthfilling, with strong, ripe berry, plum and spice flavours, a hint of liquorice, good complexity and a finely balanced, long finish.” – Michael Cooper

Tasting Note: Made from a single barrel of Malbec by Stephen Nobilo in the South Kaipara. Incredible wine. The 2014 is dark red in colour with purple hues. The bouquet is of cherry and cassis, overlaid with smoky vanillin aromas. The palate is full bodied, with a bold, lingering finish. Flavours of cherry, blackberry and plum are complimented by mocha and toasted oak complexities. 100% Bio-Dynamically grown.
