91/100 – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
“A white wine made from pinot noir, it is delicately expressed on the nose showing grapefruit, lemon pith, jasmine and subtle flinty characters. The palate is taut and linear, and delivers elegant fruit flavours with racy acidity, finishing long and mouth-watering.” – Sam Kim
Tasting Note: A fresh, mineral wine with subtle aromas of nashi pear, peach and citrus blossom. A rich fruit entry with concentrated flavours of peach and pear leading to a dry finish.
Winemaking: 100% Pinot Noir clone Abel. The grapes were delicately whole-bunch pressed using a long and gentle pressure to ensure the minimum of colour was extracted from the skins. A very cool and long fermentation in stainless steel was used to preserve the delicate aromatics and elegant structure typical of this wine. Only 2.5g/l residual sugar.
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Region: Central Otago, New Zealand
