“The rich and fleshy red plums here are irresistible, as are the aromas of ripe red cherries and raspberries with a perfumed, grassy and spicy edge. This has such appealing and succulent style that it will be really hard not to drink now. Screw cap.” – James Suckling
“Immediately engaging bouquet with aromas of fresh and preserved berry fruits, wild thyme then oak. As the wine opens up the aromas and flavours develop releasing layers of minerality and wood spices, fruit and pinosity. The structure shows off a dry, layered, spicy, fruity and youthful wine loaded with texture, flavour and pinosity. A really good wine, enjoyable, tasty, varietal, fresh and lengthy. Fine tannins with a chalky edge, nice acid line and lengthy finish with a developing complexity. Drinkable today, will benefit from time in your cellar. Best from 2021 through 2026+.” – Cameron Douglas MS
“Fragrant, appealing aroma with quite a floral and violet emphasis, while the palate was more savoury with crushed herb and grape stems adding extra interest to cherry and berry flavours. An ethereal wine with a backbone of fine tannins – should age well.” – Bob Campbell MW
Tasting Note: This incredibly fragrant and elegant wine is from our cooler site in Bannockburn in a warmer growing season resulting in a highly energetic wine with great flow and incredible layers of red and black fruit, baking spice and earth. The aromas are both intriguing and complex: fresh berry, lilac, baking spice and wild thyme. The palate is long and bright with cherry, raspberry, beautiful florals and cardamom. Silky fine tannins compliment the vibrant acidity, giving the wine length and memory. This wine is drinking beautifully at release and will continue to do so for at least a decade.
