“Ripe, varietal and pure fruited bouquet – red apple, pear, sweet Meyer lemon and white flowers. Off-dry on the palate with a vibrant core of fruit attack showing off the citrus fruit and highlighting a mineral and wet river stone flavour as well as contrasting the sweetness. A delicious wine – perfect as an aperitif or with light-weight appetisers. Drinking well now and through 2025.” – Cameron Douglas MS
“Moderately intense, vibrant riesling with green apple, lime zest, mineral and wildflower flavours. A barely perceptible hint of sweetness is perfectly balanced by assertive acidity to give the wine a dry finish. Can be appreciated now but should develop well in bottle.” – Bob Campbell MW
Tasting Note: Freshly squeezed lime juice and lemon zest with jasmine flowers on the nose awaken the palate to flavours of rich citrus, ripe apple and incredible limey acidity which gives the wine great length. This Riesling is exquisitely balanced and wonderful on its own, but it will also pair beautifully with summer salads, fresh fish, seafood and light-medium spiced Indian or Thai cuisine. A fresh and fragrant young wine, it will continue to develop for 10+ years showing more richness and secondary characteristics. 20% fermented in neutral oak barrels, 80% in stainless steel tanks. 9.8g/l residual sugar.
Region: Waitaki Valley, North Otago, New Zealand
