Benjamin Leroux Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot 2020

$250.00 inc. GST

Accolades:
93/100 – Jasper Morris
93/100 – Burghound

“Racked yesterday sample taken previously from barrel. 13.9% alcohol which is in balance for a Morgeot wine. One of the paler colours and quite chiselled. A bundle of white fruit well supported by the oak a little tint of fresh acidity medium bodied plus Morgeot is less heavy than it used to be.” – Jasper Morris

Tasting Note: “Here the expressive nose displays a phenolic note on the ripe aromas of mostly poached white orchard fruit and a hint of rosemary oil. There is fine richness and density to the bigger-bodied and powerful flavors that exhibit fine length on the bone-dry finale. This won’t win any plaudits for refinement but with that said neither is it rustic. (Drink starting 2028).” – Burghound
