“Made from 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, the 2013 Diana Madeline is deep garnet-purple and shows meaty, Bovril and beef drippings notes on the nose, over core of ripe blackcurrant, plus toast, dried herb and red fruit inflections. Muscular, very tight and concentrated, this wine is medium-bodied, very fine and possessing ripe tannins. It has a long mineral finish.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Tasting Note: Deep crimson hues with magenta edges. Displays complexity and vitality with layers of well ripened dark fruits highlighted by nuances of blackcurrants, plums and mulberries. Athletic structure and fruit driven, the palate presents blackcurrant and mulberry fruits finishing with fine grained tannins. Subtle layers of complexity arise from fruit harvested at the pinnacle of ripeness. Cellar 30 plus years.

Winemaking Notes: 100% Cullen Vineyard. 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc. Harvested 20th February and 7th March 2013. Aged for 17 months in French barriques of which 60% were new.
