Tasting Note: 2018 was a balanced vintage, which worked in favour of de Nicolay’s whites. The nose reflects this balance, with white flowers and pure stone fruit tempered by chalk and citrus qualities, with fresh herbal undertones. This terroir combines freshness and roundness and provides this wine with a nice attack of pure mature Chardonnay, the palate finishing on mineral and salt-inflected notes. From 30-year old vines on limestone and chalk soil, matured 12 months in oak.
