“Smoky and earthy aromas with a core of dark plum and black currant, clove and dark spices of oak. Youthful and nicely complex, but also quite toasty with a roasted nut quality as well. Dry, textured and weighty on the palate a mix of tannin textures and medium acidity with a core of flavours from dark plums to blackcurrant, roasted nut and toasty wood. A very nice wine perfect with roasted meats or high protein dishes. Best drinking from 2023 through 2030.” – Cameron Douglas MS
Tasting Note: This hand harvested Merlot reflects the varietal character from our unique location in the Far North region. Blueberries, wild berries, and dark red fruit. These combine nicely with the rich smooth tannins, ending in a warm finish.
