Kawa Grove Saperavi Chambourcin 2019

$149.00 inc. GST

“Delicious for what they don’t contain, our handpicked, foot-stomped and wild-fermented wines are produced with no animal products or added sulphites and are bottled without fining or filtration to capture the true essence of our land.” – Don Batley, Winemaker

Tasting Note: Saperavi is the signature grape of Georgia, formerly part of the Soviet Union. Dark, inky-coloured, spicy and highly floral, it’s thought to originate as far back as 6000BC, making it one of the oldest varieties in the world with one of the widest genetic pools. Chambourcin is a rare, but famous, French-American hybrid ‘teinturier’ grape, meaning its juice is red-hued, while most red grapes produce clear liquid, with the colour coming only from the skins. Produced organically with no added sulphites. Vegan-friendly.
