“A light-colored red with an amber edge, offering aromas and flavors of dried strawberry with flan and cedar, as well as orange peel and flowers. It’s medium-bodied and creamy-textured with a focused and brilliant finish. Subtle is a good way to describe this. Fresh at the end. Drink or hold.” – James Suckling
Tasting Note: Dark cherries and baked plums are unfolding from the glass, transitioning into wild thyme and violets with impressions of cassis, sandalwood, and cinnamon. A complex wine with a firm tannin structure, yet smooth mouthfeel. The supporting role of oak intensifies the underlying dark cacao and spicy characters. Cellar 8 to 15 years.
Winemaking Notes: Block B is a selection of the Dijon Pinot Noir clones; specifically the clones 115, 667, 777, 114 and 113.
