Tasting Notes:
A distinctive orange-style Pinot Gris with a vibrant tangerine hue and lifted aromas of apricot, mandarin and tropical fruit, layered with floral notes and subtle herbal complexity. The palate is textured and energetic, showing citrus and stonefruit balanced by fine tannins and bright acidity. Dry and precise, with a long, savoury finish and excellent ageing potential.
Winemaking Notes:
Sourced from Gibbston in Central Otago, this Pinot Gris is crafted in a skin-contact style to enhance texture and structure. The 2024 vintage saw warm, dry conditions, with a portion of whole clusters included across multiple ferments. The wine spent around 24 days on skins before fermentation in large open-top vessels. Aged for approximately 12 months in seasoned oak barrels, undergoing full malolactic fermentation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal intervention to preserve purity and expression.
