4.5 stars – Michael Cooper
“This sturdy blend of Sauvignon Blanc (principally) and Viognier is fermented in tanks and new oak barrels. The 2014 vintage, 25 per cent barrel-fermented, is ripely fragrant, weighty and rounded, in a sweet-fruited style with concentrated, peachy, spicy flavours, fresh and lively, a subtle seasoning of oak, and an off-dry finish. Showing excellent personality and harmony, it’s ready to roll.” – Michael Cooper
Tasting Note: A more French styled aromatic white with some lees and oak complexity and a textural focus that has seamless balance. Best after a couple of years bottle aging and great with fresh foods.
Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier
Region: Waiheke Island, New Zealand
