Tasting Note: Hand harvested, then fermented 5 weeks on skins. Aged for 24 months in 60 % New French Barrel and 40% old Barrel (20% American oak / 20% French oak). This Syrah is ripe and fragrant on the nose showing dried cherry, dark plum, thyme and cake spice characters with subtle notes of vanilla and cedar. The palate is succulent and nicely rounded, delivering attractive fruit intensity backed by chalky tannins, finishing long and pleasingly dry.
