Ma Maison Cuvee Tristan Pinot Noir 2010

$150.00 inc. GST

A tiny, very rare library release, shipped direct to GLV from the Ma Maison cellars and drinking sublimely now – 12 bottles only available

Tasting Note: “A blend of 75% clone 5 with 25%, Abel and 10/5 from the ‘Ma Maison’ vineyard, fully destemmed and fermented to 13.6% alc., the wine spending 20-23 days on skins, and aged 13 months in French oak. Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with a black-hued heart, and garnet on edge. The nose full with deep and concentrated, ripe, black berry and plum fruit aromas along with underlying savoury game hints. Some undergrowth, herb and oak nuances add interest. Medium-full bodied, rich flavours of dark red berry fruit, plums, bramble, forest and nuances of game show with good weight and mouthfilling presence. The acidity is fresh, adding to the juiciness of the fruit, and balanced tannins support the palate, providing a fine-textured mouthfeel as it flows to a moderately long and lingering finish. This is a full, dark-fruited Pinot Noir with freshness and fine tannin grip. Match with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare over the next 5-6 years.” – Raymond Chan, 2013
