Tasting Note: A cool but dry growing season resulted in a Providence that is all about texture. Savoury and herbaceous notes on the nose follow through to a palate that is mineral-inflected, restrained and mysterious at first but highly expressive after time in the decanter. A weighty wine that matches good acidity with a beautifully integrated tannin structure, which are firm and still tightly-knit. A few further years of cellaring are certainly welcome.
