Reed Bambina Nebbiolo 2024

Tasting Note: “It’s been a minute since I last made Nebbiolo and I feel so happy to have it back in my winery. After patiently waiting for these young vines from Gerard Kennedy and Lucy Runnalls to grow, I finally got my hands on this special grape again. I don’t usually speak in clones but when it matters like it does with this vineyard, I’ll shine a light on it and celebrate it. Nebbiolo is a grape like no other, it speaks from its DNA and from the earth it breathes life into in a way that helps us understand everything about growing Vitis vinifera. This wine was made from the MAT3 clone and what that meant to me at the time was picking last and looking for crushed rose and tart cherry. II always go the long way to find the science because I let the fruit lead me to the answers. Nebbiolo and I have a special connection and I’m looking forward to rebuilding that with this family and their fruit.” – Sierra Reed

Winemaking Notes: MAT3 Clone. Handpicked, wild fermentation. Aged in large format Stockinger oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 2,500 litres total production.
