“This is fruit forward and immediately appealing with blackcurrant, dark plum, rich floral and toasted hazelnut aromas, leading to a succulent palate that’s plump and flavoursome. Opulent and plush with loads of fine tannins, finishing wonderfully long and satisfying. Certified organic. At its best: now to 2032.” – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

“A lovely take on an old world classic with a new world setting, aroma sand flavours of raspberry and strawberry, there’s a definitive earthy quality and kitchen-cupboard spices to add complexity and charm. A light-weight floral note then barrel wood flavours add depth and length on the palate. Dry and firm with tannins and acidity to set the structure in place then fruit layers for style and variety. Best drinking from late 2024 through 2028+.” – Cameron Douglas MS

“Moderately intense tempranillo with floral, tree fruit and tamarillo flavours. Tangy wine supported by bright, fresh acidity that gives the wine high energy. Attractive and quite refreshing.” – Bob Campbell MW

Tasting Note: Rich aromas of plums, dark cherries, and Christmas cake mixed with spicey notes of tamarillo, clove, vanilla, plush fruit, and chocolatey characters with a soft palate and a toasty finish.

Winemaking Notes: The grapes were hand harvested, carefully sorted, and destemmed into large format French Oak cuvées for fermentation. A daily regime of gentle pigéage and pump overs for careful extraction and development of the tannin. After 4 weeks, the wine was drained, gently pressed, settled, and racked into select oak barriques, of which 50% were new. After 14 months elevage, the wine was carefully racked, bottled unfined, and unfiltered.
