“A very perfumed pinot noir with lightly dried strawberry as well as flower petals such as roses and lavender. Hints of sweet green tobacco. Medium-bodied with firm and linear tannins that run the length of the wine. Very fine and polished. Solid tannins. Very complex. Give it time to soften. Best after 2026 but a joy to taste.” – James Suckling
Tasting Note: Luscious flavours of ripe strawberries and cherries with hints of dark chocolate and pinecones. Spicy, with well-rounded, silky tannins. Cellar 8 to 15 years.
Winemaking Notes: Marion’s Vineyard is a selection of two Pinot Noir clones; the Pommard and the Abel clone. Left on skins for 3 weeks; aged in 35% new and 65% used French oak barriques for 18 months.
Variety: Pinot Noir
