Above Te Rere Point on Waiheke Island’s western coastline, sits Te Rere Estate which encompasses four individual vineyards covering 2.4 hectares. Under the guidance of renowned local winemaker; Luc Desbonnets, the vines are hand tended, their grapes handpicked, creating wine that naturally reflect the unique ‘terroir’.
Tasting Note: Made in tiny quantities. Completely different expression from the usual Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Plump and restrained in the mouth, no aggressive acidity, and further softened by the addition of Semillon.
