A finely detailed Pinot Gris with aromas of lemon zest, lime and nashi pear, layered with hints of fresh herbs and saline minerality. The palate is bright and structured, showing citrus, crisp pear and green apple with a subtle textural grip. Dry and precise, with steely acidity and a long, elegant finish.
Winemaking Notes:
Sourced from Grant’s Road in the Waitaki Valley, the fruit is grown on limestone-rich soils in a cool, maritime-influenced climate. The 2025 season was cooler and wetter, resulting in small, clean bunches and an earlier harvest at optimal ripeness. Fermented slowly, with the majority in neutral oak and a portion in stainless steel, the wine is aged on lees to build texture while retaining purity and tension.
