Tasting Notes:
A beautifully perfumed Pinot Noir with aromas of blackcurrant, strawberry and pomegranate, layered with rose petal, white pepper and flinty notes. The palate is vibrant and finely structured, showing red berry and cherry fruit alongside savoury spice and fresh herbs. Ethereal and complex, with fine tannins, distinctive salinity and a long, energetic finish.
Winemaking Notes:
Sourced from Grant’s Road in the Waitaki Valley, planted on limestone-rich soils in a cool, maritime-influenced climate. The fruit is hand harvested across multiple passes to optimise ripeness, with a portion of whole bunch included in fermentation. A long cuvaison builds structure and aromatic complexity, before maturation for around 11 months in French oak (including a portion of new oak). Bottled unfined, with minimal intervention to preserve purity and site expression.
