Vietti Barolo Castilione 2020

Tasting Notes:
A classic and expressive Barolo with aromas of red and dark cherry, plum and rose petal, layered with notes of tobacco, leather and alpine herbs. The palate is rich and structured, with concentrated fruit supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity. Powerful yet poised, finishing long with savoury complexity.

Winemaking Notes:
Sourced from a selection of vineyards across the Barolo communes, planted on limestone and clay-rich soils. Each parcel is vinified separately to highlight site expression, with fermentation in stainless steel and extended maceration using traditional submerged-cap techniques. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wood, followed by ageing for around 30 months in large oak casks, with a small portion matured in barrique. The final blend is assembled prior to bottling.
