Chene Bleu Astralabe Blanc 2022

All of Chêne Bleu’s white wines are produced in tiny quantities, and Astralabe Blanc is a particularly small and exclusive release.

Tasting Note: 55% Grenache Blanc, 20% Rolle, 10% Clairette, 10% Roussanne, 5% Viognier. The first vintage of this new tiny-production white wine was in 2019. A blend of mostly Grenache Blanc, with some smaller additions of Rolle (Vermentino), Clairette, Roussanne and Viognier, it is the little sister of our Grenache/Syrah Astralabe Rouge. With floral notes and hints of peach and white pears, this full-bodied, complex and aromatic wine has refreshing acidity, a rich mouth-feel and a long finish. This wine is concentrated with aromas of rich fruit, white blossoms and sweet spice. Well structured and balanced, this is a wine for all occasions. Pairs perfectly with seasonal dishes including fish, shellfish and white meats. Ideal with Mediterranean cuisine or mixed salads. Serve lightly chilled at 14°C. Ageing potential: 2-5 years.
