Tasting Note: Fleurie AOP is one of the ten designated ‘crus’ in Beaujolais, named after a Roman legionary. The main feature of the commune is a hill topped with a chapel and a prominent statue of the Madonna, from which the lieu-dit ‘La Madone’ is derived. Floral on the nose with red fruits, spice and minerals. Medium-bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and a long, saline finish.
