“A dry, expressive Blanc de Noirs with aromas of raspberries, citrus zest, candied walnuts, bread crust and apple crumble. Crushed rocks, too. Savory, dry and linear, with a medium body and tight bubbles. Nicely focused. From a 0.8ha single parcel of pinot noir in Cumieres, planted in 1982. Drink or hold.” – James Suckling
“Disgorged in January 2023 without dosage, the 2014 Brut Nature La Côte à Bras (a 100% Pinot Noir) displays aromas of red berries, menthol, peach, spring flowers and hints of almonds, followed by a medium to full-bodied, elegant and refined palate with racy acids and a long, fresh and penetrating finish. Slightly vinous with saline texture, this is a great effort that can be drunk over the next four to eight years.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Tasting Note: This vintage draws its essence from the conjuncture of exceptional meteorological events. The year was cool and rainy, giving our historical plot “La Côte à Bras” beautiful and juicy grapes. An old gold aspect. A bouquet of fragrant dried flowers first of all, followed by the fruity aromas of peaches and ripe fruit jams. Aeration reveals gourmet hints of pomegranate and stewed strawberries. The flavour is more discrete, yet chiselled and forthright. The orange zest and grapefruit create a good body, adequate bitterness and a slightly salty finish. Ideal for aperitifs, the cuvée’s great character also pairs perfectly with seafood dishes such as scampi and green mango ceviche.
Winemaking Notes: 100% Pinot Noir, 0g/L dosage. From a historic planting in the Cumières 1er Cru classified village, vines dating to 1982 on calcium-rich soils. Brut Nature.
