“Rich, weighty wine with vanilla, white pepper, dried mandarin peel, ginger and spicy oak flavours. It is an intriguing wine—tantalisingly complex with layers of different flavours supported by gentle acidity and fine, drying tannins.” – Bob Campbell MW

“A gently perfumed bouquet with scents of white flowers – some exotic, white fleshed orchard fruits and spice. A saline moment adds complexity and intrigue. Lovely weight and texture on the palate with a satin touch, contrasting acid line and warming alcohol. Flavours of citrus and white fleshed fruits reflect the bouquet as does a floral, white spice and saline quality. Well made, balanced and ready to drink. Best from 2023 through 2029.” – Cameron Douglas MS

“The impressive, still youthful 2021 vintage was estate-grown and hand-picked at Palm Beach. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a weighty, full-bodied dry wine, with rich, peachy, slightly spicy flavours, gently seasoned with oak, moderate acidity and excellent richness and harmony. Vibrant and savoury, it’s a immaculate, ageworthy wine, likely to be at its best 2025+” – Michael Cooper

Tasting Note: The Māwhitipana Marsanne is a seamless, medium bodied wine that flows beautifully into a smooth finish, with notes of burnt orange rind. An inviting nose of oriental spice, including cloves and dried citrus peel with notes of honeysuckle. A wine as dreamy as its sustainable origins. Grapes handpicked by owners.  A limited vintage with only 48 cases produced.

Vintage Notes: The Māwhitipana Marsanne had a run as dreamy as its origins. This vintage was long, calm and dry. A long hot season with little rain produced small berries and low yields with lots of concentration. A settled harvest produced ideal picking conditions.
