Accolades:
94/100 – Falstaff Magazine
91/100 – James Suckling
“Fragrances of subtle forest-berry notes as well as some toasty oak on the nose lead into the elegant tannins and appealing richness on the palate where there’s a positive hint of sweetness.” – James Suckling
Tasting Note: Pfarrwingert is 1.2ha and its soils are composed of stony weathered soil, colored sandstone, blue slate and clay fragments.
The earthiest and darkest of the three GG wines, with a pronounced forest-floor/mossy underwood note, and some darker fruits (plum, fig, blackberry). This is really powerful on the palate, with taut acidity and a high-toned finish. Already showing good development, and with many more years ahead.
