Choosing Supernatural wines

Sauvignon Blanc and skin-contact whites

The Supernatural Sauvignon Blanc 2022 comes from Hawke’s Bay, with green-fruit and saline notes described on its bottle page. Minus 220 Sauvignon Blanc 2019 takes a more textural route, with nine days of skin contact and maturation in neutral oak. The Minus 220 2020 listing offers another vintage to compare. Check each release’s own tasting and winemaking information.

Green Glow 2022 comes from Millton’s Opou vineyard in Gisborne and combines Muscat and Marsanne with a small Chenin Blanc component. Its notes describe an aromatic, lighter-textured white, with skin contact before maturation in large oak vessels. Browse our orange and skin-contact wines for related styles, or compare with the wider white wine collection.

Paranormal and Quiet Earth reds

The Paranormal 2022 is a Gisborne blend of Syrah and Malbec. Its description highlights a light, fresh, peppery style and suggests serving it lightly chilled. The Quiet Earth 2022 comes from Martinborough, combining Pinot Noir with a small Syrah component; its winemaking notes describe tank ageing without oak.

These reds offer different grapes and places to compare within our red wine collection. The portfolio also provides a starting point for exploring natural wine. Consult the individual bottle’s production details for skin contact, sulphur additions and maturation, as these differ between labels and vintages.
