Choosing Corofin wines
Marlborough and single-vineyard wines
Corofin Marlborough Pinot Noir 2023 combines fruit from Wrekin and Settlement, with red-fruit and savoury notes. Compare it with Settlement Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023 from the Omaka Valley and Wrekin Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023 from the Southern Valleys. The latter’s notes describe a darker, denser expression, providing a useful contrast within the same vintage.
Marlborough Chardonnay 2023 draws on Wrekin and Brawn fruit, with citrus, lees and saline notes. Brawn Vineyard Chardonnay 2023 focuses on the site near the Wairau coast; its listing highlights fruit intensity and salinity and suggests oysters as a food match. Compare each bottle’s vineyard and maturation details when choosing.
Meltwater Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc
Meltwater Sauvignon Blanc 2025 combines Wairau and Omaka Valley fruit. Its notes describe dry citrus and stone-fruit flavours with a rounded texture, following stainless-steel fermentation and time on lees. Browse our broader Sauvignon Blanc range for related choices.
Meltwater Chenin Blanc 2023 offers a different grape and texture, with citrus, pithy and waxy notes and fermentation in older puncheons. These two whites provide a useful comparison alongside the Chardonnays. Read the exact vintage’s notes and any dated reviews on its bottle page; scores labelled for an earlier vintage apply to that stated release.
