Choosing Giant Steps wines
Choose a vineyard and vintage
The Pinot Noir selection includes Sexton, Primavera and Applejack vineyard releases as well as the Yarra Valley wine. There is also a distinct Tasmanian option: Coal River Valley Pinot Noir 2024. Use the region control and the bottle’s own notes to distinguish the Yarra Valley and Coal River Valley wines; the producer name alone does not imply one growing region.
For Chardonnay, compare the named Wombat Creek, Tarraford, Sexton and Applejack bottlings with the Yarra Valley release. Circle of Fifths Chardonnay 2024 brings together parcels from the producer’s single-vineyard sites. Read the individual release notes for its composition and maturation, and compare vintage as well as vineyard name when choosing between bottles.
Look beyond Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
Tarraford Vineyard Syrah and Sexton Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon provide other red-wine options. For a broader comparison, explore our Bordeaux & Blends and Australian wine collections.
