Choosing Gil Family Estates wines
Explore Spain through its regional wines
Honoro Vera Garnacha 2024 comes from Calatayud, while Tridente Tempranillo 2020 represents Castilla y León. Garnacha is the Spanish name used here for Grenache. Atalaya Laya 2024 from Almansa combines Garnacha Tintorera, identified in its notes as Alicante Bouschet, with Monastrell / Mourvèdre; its grape mix is different from the Garnacha-labelled wine.
For Jumilla, El Nido Clio 2022 combines Monastrell and Cabernet Sauvignon. Priorat offers another comparison through Clar del Bosc and BlueGray: their notes list blends involving Garnacha, Carignan and Syrah. Read the exact proportions and ageing notes for each release, as these are distinct wines from different sites and vintages.
Beyond red wine
Juan Gil Dry Moscatel 2020 offers a Muscat-based white from Jumilla. Honoro Vera Rosado 2024 is a rosé whose product notes list Tempranillo and Syrah. Use the bottle’s own tasting notes and food matches when choosing; a shared family name does not imply a single grape, sweetness level or winemaking style.
